Food glorious food
glazed ham and mustard
dozens of gourmet salads
and tiny plum puddings and custard
At the lunch break during our work shop on Saturday 3rd August Grads celebrated Christmas in July a little late. The spread provided by the choristers was equal to any banquet presented by Master Chef.
Our President Evelyne was the Master Chef and she and her assistant John Appleby cooked and carved the delecatly flavoured glazed ham. The Altos presented a table of gourmet salads while the sopranos filled a table with delicious and naughty desserts.
Later Evelyne changed hats to become our in house photographer. She also presided over a fun auction which caused much merriment among the rival bidders.
If the singing was not up to scratch during the afternoon we hope Christopher will forgive us. There are certainly some talented cooks in the choir and unlike “Oliver” no one asked for more.
