Another opportunity to join Sydney University Graduate Choir and Orchestra under the baton of Christopher Bowen!

Sydney Sings…… Verdi Requiem”

           Sunday, April 28, 2013 at Sydney Town  Hall.

Expressions of Interest please!

This event will celebrate the bicentenary of Verdi’s birth.

It will require much more rehearsal time than Messiah – all rehearsals compulsory.

When: Concert : Sunday, April 28, 2013,  3.00 – 5.00pm  (Sydney Town Hall)

Rehearsals: Sunday, April 28 – 9.00am – 1.00pm

Saturday, April 27, 10.00am-1.00pm and 2.00-5.00pm  (All)

venue:   Fort Street High School Hall

Saturday, April 20,  10.00am – 1.00pm (Soprano/Alto)

2.00 – 5.00pm  (Tenor/Bass)

venue:  Fort Street High School Hall

All rehearsal dates are compulsory.

You are welcome to pass on this information to your singing friends.

Please send your expression of interest to Marilyn Gosling, with

  • your name
  • voice part
  • email address      (for any new people)
  • Have you sung Verdi’s  Requiem before – Yes/ No.
  • Any current choir membership – name of choir.

If you have already emailed your interest, you will remain on the “Interest List”.

We will email again in December to all those who express their interest, and Registration will open then.

Scores of the choruses and rehearsal CD’s will be available after Registration for a small fee.  (Peter’s edition)

Singing fee:  $100

We are really looking forward to having you join us for this wonderful work under the direction of Christopher Bowen.
